Martin Vester's profile

Porsche 356 Coupe | Westerwerks

The track-spec widebody Porsche 356 Coupe, also known as project "Los Angeles," has reached its completion stage. I'm currently considering the possibility of releasing the buck for the body and print files, including the additional elements like bumpers, front lip, wing, diffuser, and fenders.

Throughout this project's journey, I've received diverse feedback from the public, ranging from admiration to some degree of controversy. While some loved the design, others had different opinions. Interestingly, a few parties even expressed interest in purchasing the rights to the design. So, I guess it’s not that bad.

The modified car scene in LA has undoubtedly brought forth a unique and intriguing result.

Calvert inspired studio:

To modify the car, I have added new bumpers at the front and back, a carbon diffuser at the rear, a center exhaust, and a carbon lip at the front and bunch of other things. The fender flares are add-ons to the standard narrow body, as is the small rear spoiler. This means that fabricators can choose to go for a full build or not, depending on their preference.

"raw" model overview from the initial design phase:

For this project, I have undertaken a complete redesign of the entire exterior of a 1966 Porsche 356 Coupe. My aim was to ensure that every aspect of the car's design meets the client's specifications. Despite this, the base car retains the original lines of the vehicle.

Standard studio:

Relax, this is a replica set. No real 356 were harmed making it.
